ERIC HENDERSON, Classical Guitarist
 ric
Henderson has been touching souls for many years with his unique
ability to communicate with the guitar. Since he first picked up
the instrument at the age of six, it was clear that Eric had a calling.
At the age of 12 Eric had the opportunity to play for the master
guitarist Andres Segovia while he was in Los Angeles for
a concert. As a result, Segovia invited Eric to study with him in
Madrid, Spain, making Eric one of only three people to ever study
privately with the Maestro. During his four years of study in Spain,
Eric also had the opportunity to study with Aureo Herrero, Ernesto
Bitetti, Emilio Pujol and also with the great composer Federico
Moreno Torroba. Having logged ten European and nine American
tours, as well as a tour of Russia and Japan, Eric returned to his
hometown, Laguna Beach, CA where he resides with his wife, Prof.
Virginia Mann. When not performing, he spends his time composing,
teaching and contributing to the development of new techniques for
the guitar.
Eric has recorded numerous albums for several major labels including
JVC and MCA as well as other independent labels. These projects
feature standard repertoire for classical guitar, as well as Erics
transcriptions, arrangements and compositions.
